SAN MATEO CITY UPDATES

GREAT NEWS! SAN MATEO PUBLIC LIBRARY MARINA BRANCH TO RECEIVE STATE FUNDING FOR REHABILITATION

The City of San Mateo will receive $1.3 million in the newly passed California State Budget to renovate and rehabilitate San Mateo Public Library's Marina Branch. This will repair structural damage to its foundation. Once repaired, Library visitors will be able to enjoy Marina Branch's beautiful location on the Lagoon and take full advantage of all their great community resources.

“Our City of San Mateo Marina Library serves as a vital community hub for so many families and we are incredibly grateful to Assemblyman Kevin Mullin for recognizing its value and advocating for this project in the State’s budget. These funds will provide critical structural improvements and ensure our beloved library continues to support the many children and families who rely upon its educational programming and resources,” said San Mateo Mayor Rick Bonilla.

Thanks to Speaker Pro Tempore Kevin Mullin, CA Assembly District 22 for sponsoring this investment in our Library and to San Mateo Deputy Mayor Diane Papan for championing the project!
