2024 BNA Annual Meeting Attendees

SIGN UP NOW FOR 2025 BNA ANNUAL MEETING: FEBRUARY 19TH, 5:30PM-7:30PM

Our biggest event of the year is around the corner...our Feb. 19th BNA Annual Meeting! This is a chance to get updated on what the plans for the year are for San Mateo and Baywood. We always begin, however, with wine & hors d'oeuvres, so neighbors and friends can reconnect to start the new year.

The meeting will be in person in the Oak Room at the San Mateo Public Library Main Branch on 3rd Ave. and via Zoom.

San Mateo's new Mayor, Rob Newsom, will share the City's plans and get your feedback. This year, given the devastating Los Angeles fires, your BNA Board also plans to bring in speakers from the office of the CA Insurance Commissioner and San Mateo Consolidated Fire's Wildfire Safety group. They will give you an overview of the state of insurance in California, the impact of the LA fires, and what Baywood residents can do to keep their homes and Baywood safe from fire. This is a discussion you don't want to miss!

The wine and cheese reception will begin at 5:30pm and the regular meeting will run 6pm-7:30pm. As always, a case of wine will be given away to someone in attendance, so plan to attend :-)

Please register today at https://bit.ly/BNARSVP, so we have enough seats for everyone (last year's Annual Meeting overflowed into the hallway). The Zoom link will be available closer to the actual date.

The Annual Meeting recording will be uploaded after the meeting to the BNA website.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2024 HOLIDAY LIGHTS AWARD WINNERS

This year, the competition for the BNA Holiday Lights Award was fierce! We had 15 homes nominated for consideration, and there were many more Baywood homes overall with holiday lights and decorations.

The top three Baywood Holiday Lights Award finalists were:

552 Edinburgh

522 Nevada

229 Irving and 520 Virginia (tied for 3rd place).

552 Edinburgh was voted the 2024/25 winner of the Baywood Holiday Lights Award. Owners Justin and Nicole McGovern attribute the win to the design visions of their two young daughters, Mila and Everly. BNA congratulates the McGovern family, and thanks all our neighbors for making Baywood so festive!
