SMPOA Crab Feed & Casino Night

March 21, 2025

The San Mateo Police Officers' and Sergeants' Associations are hosting a Crab Feed & Casino Night. This fundraiser is open to the public and is a great way to mingle with our officers off-duty, while enjoying a delicious crab dinner; and then entertain yourself in our casino or by dancing the night away! Tickets are $85 per person, or $800 for a table of 10. Tickets can be purchased by emailing Jeanine Luna at jluna@cityofsanmateo.org

Central Park Playground Groundbreaking

April 24, 2025

San Mateo Parks and Rec is pleased to announce plans to break ground on a completely reimagined Central Park Playground! A ceremony will be held in Central Park to mark the beginning of the playground’s construction phase.

Enjoy family-friendly activities, photo opportunities and a jumper for the little ones. Everyone is invited to join for this momentous occasion!

HEADWEST Marketplace

2024 holiday shopping was enhanced on 2 Sundays by Head West Market’s presence on the B Street Pedestrian Mall. Community feedback was so positive that the Downtown San Mateo Association (DSMA) has engaged Head West to return. Head West’s vendors are individual artists, vintage clothing sellers and handmade gift creators. This augments the existing San Mateo retail environment and gives everyone another great reason to visit Downtown San Mateo…it’s where you want to be!
