San Mateo Parks and Recreation Fall Activity Guide is Live!
Secure afterschool care for your kiddos with options at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center and Beresford Recreation Center! Get nice and cozy by knitting neat patterns. Bask in the greens by taking soothing yoga among the redwood trees. Turn up the heat in our many sports programs like tennis, basketball, pickleball, soccer, and more! Registration starts Tuesday, August 5 at 9 a.m. for City of San Mateo residents and Thursday, August 7 at 9 a.m. for non-residents.

HEADWEST Marketplace
Every 3rd Sunday, March-December, 2025
2024 holiday shopping was enhanced on 2 Sundays by Head West Market’s presence on the B Street Pedestrian Mall. Community feedback was so positive that the Downtown San Mateo Association (DSMA) has engaged Head West to return. Head West’s vendors are individual artists, vintage clothing sellers and handmade gift creators. This augments the existing San Mateo retail environment and gives everyone another great reason to visit Downtown San Mateo…it’s where you want to be!
